Wison’s One-Stop Service Concept Optimize Coal Chemical Industry

Release time:2010-09-21

China Economic Net, Beijing-August 27, 2010 (by Liang Mengwan): In recent years, China's coal chemical industry has been undergoing rapid development. However, it is worth noting that research, development, operation and maintenance is not uniformly managed, potentially increasing business costs. At the ""2010 China Coal Chemical Industry International Exhibition & Development Forum"", the one-stop solution and services that covers the whole process, which is advocated by Wison Engineering (China) is a good concept to mitigate this issue.

At present, Wison is one of few engineering companies that possess comprehensive service capabilities, from R&D, engineering design, construction to project management, commissioning and operation. Speaking of the one-stop solution, Lin Zhong, Vice General Manager of Wison Engineering (China), said by cooperation with R&D institutions and universities, we can truly transform their technologies into production. ""Some technologies are very easy in laboratory while there are much more research and experience required to be used in actual production"". For downstream business, they should combine engineering design with engineering management, ensure minimized investment expense and project risks and improve operation efficiency. Lin Zhong believes this concept should be a bridge to link companies with their customers and achieve win-wins. It is learned that it is this concept that has positioned Wison well at the construction and technical services to ethylene cracking furnace projects. Wison has occupied more than 50% of domestic shares.

According to the data from China Petrochemical Association, in recent years, China's major coal chemical products have maintained rapid growth. In 2009, China's methanol production reached 11.334 million tons and 8.11 million tons in this first half year, which is a 53.3% increase year-over-year. In addition, there are still large numbers of ongoing and planned construction and expansion coal chemical projects. Zhou Zhuye, Vice President of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association (CPCIA), said as China had made great achievements in the development of coal chemical industry, there were still some outstanding issues. Particularly due to the shock by global financial crisis, the industry is facing great difficulties. However, the key to solving these problems is technological innovation.

Li Yansheng, Engineering Director of Wison Engineering (China), said Wison had owned more than ten patents in coal chemical development since its entry in 2006. At the exhibition, Wison Engineering displayed its cutting-edge technologies at own intellectual property rights, such as 'Methanol to Olefins'and 'Water-saving Coal to Methanol' technologies, which indicates China's remarkable technological breakthroughs and progress in coal-chemical technologies. Compared with current other domestic and international coal-chemical technologies, Wison is featured as advanced process, reliable performance, low energy consumption, low investment, stable operation and long running life.

Among them, the industry-leading Methanol to Olefins technology is particularly of broad application scope, which has broke the bottleneck of low localization rate. Optimized in device design and energy consumption, this technology can minimize feed's internal loop, resulting maximum reduction in operating costs and equipment investment. The commercialization of Wison's MTO technology will accelerate MTO industrialization process and is of great significance to the development of China's new coal-chemical industry strategy.

As the concept renewal and key industrial development pace is accelerating, Wison has also been well positioned in the coal chemical sector and established adequate confidence in the long-term development of this strategy. In the context of global 'Green' trend, vigorous development of coal-chemical industry is a realistic choice to address energy issues and explore new chemical materials. China is sufficient in coal but short of gas and oil. The development of new routine for coal chemical industry and comprehensive considerations in design, construction, production and maintenance is also the direction of development and application that Wison is exploring for future coal industry.
